never a need to purposely cause pain when you can painfully cause purpose
By Diane Pearl • Feb 9th, 2010 • Category: BlogWhy would you purposely cause pain if you can painfully cause purpose? It seems you only understand yesterday after tomorrow comes…hmmnn? In other words, at the time when life really hurts, it is difficult to comprehend its purpose. Yet, looking back makes sense. In 2000, upon diagnosis of FA for Alexandra and Matt, you could not have told me they would live, change others and even save lives. I would have much rather saved them the pain. But when I get an email that a life was saved because of a Pearl Family Bone Marrow Drive, I cry and feel the purpose for the pain. I know I have said this often but it is worth repeating. There is purpose for unexpected pain. However, is there ever a good reason to purposely cause pain…aka to hurt each other, especially family or friends?? Utopia would be to think before speaking, act instead of talk and just do the right thing. Maybe throw in a little consider others before ourselves and life could be grand! Ahhh, sort of living today with tomorrow’s wisdom but never ever ever hurt on purpose. Time wasted hurting or time spent helping?? Your choice…
