letting life flow without force

Welcome to a new day in the new month with a new year of the new decade. I guess that means it is a new chance at a new day. Enough already, I am sure you get the message or it is obvious I have had too much coffee. Matt looked at me this morning and said are you driving like that? (I took the kids to school at 7 a.m. in the lime green robe just for old time’s sake.) What if you get stopped by the police, he says?  Naahhh, no worries Matt. Puh! Of course, as I round the corner there are lights flashing. I did the I Love Lucy big eyes and eeeeeeeeew sound. Whew, not for me. Thank goodness!  He smiled and I said defensively, well…I have a coat on as he motioned to my fury slippers with his eyes. OK. How can you be so wise at 13?? Old ways or new ??? The thought today is for new, but I like some of the old. I suppose the balance is having the guts to do, be and think what you want mixed with some new is appropriate. Kind of thinking you may not be here tomorrow so embrace today instead of the “someday syndrome.” Humans are funny to be driven and rewarded by accomplishments finding it difficult to have a robe day letting life flow without force. Those brief  moments of freedom can be fun, empowering and cleansing. Do something new for you…

  1. Glad to see the lime green robe has not been retired! Riley was beyond thrilled when the mail came today. She just kept saying “I can’t believe all the goodies”. She felt like she won the lottery ;-) ! She will be sending a thank you! That was so very sweet of you guys. The cards she loved that the kids signed & the ARP frame was “nice artwork”. I however want to know how I could have possible aged so much since that photo?!? You guys are special, wonderful, & missed!!!
