God moments…
By Diane Pearl • Jan 15th, 2010 • Category: BlogMiracle Matt turned “13″ yesterday. I refected on his birth that cold icey day in 1997 as he warmed our hearts. I thought about all the hearts he has touched because God gave him to us and said name him Matthew, which means gift from God. Not Andrew, the planned for months matchy “A” name to follow Austin and Alexandra in our perfect family. (HA!) Now Matt has a little man mustache over that ornery boyish grin that is overtalking the cute one-cheek dimple. He knows exactly what he wants, who he is, stays very calm, resrectfula nd responsible. His life has had such purpose because of the pain, no doubt. Not many 13 yr olds can comprehend life let alone saving others lives. What he has makes him a fine young man and he has taught me why being strong in faith is #1. Mark and I were honored to take snickerdoodles, chocolate carmel Doves, strawberry licorice and Root Beer for his lunch table at school. We decided to take a drive after and go back to surprise Alexandra at her lunch time, too. (3rd trip after 7:30 a.m. mtg to discuss Alex’s HS choices…ahh!) As we were getting back out of the car, I looked into the beautiful blue sky always thanking God for children right as a majestic bald Eagle came flying smack over the school. Kind of like protecting them all and blessing rare efforts. What a gift to feel such strength, once again lifted up on Eagles wings. I call them God moments. If only for just a flash in time, I see His work and say thank you out loud. Find one moment today…say thank you.

Hoping Matthew who really is a gift from God to all of us had a wonderful 13th birthday! Praying the teen years are filled with fun for him. What a wonderful, special, amazing guy! His call made our day the other day. Alexandra & high school?!? Was she just not Riley Alexandra’s age yesterday?!?
Hi,
I was sitting here and thought of you, so I looked for news. Sorry, Matt, I forgot your birthday. Have a good year, God bless you.
Love, Manuela
